INDICATIONS :
Ampicillin + Sulbactam is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.
USES :
Ampicillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ampicillin against bacteria.
SIDE EFFECTS :
Rash, Diarrhea, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Increased white blood cell count (eosinophils), Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness), Increased bilirubin in the blood, Thrombophlebitis, Injection site pain.
