INDICATIONS :
Leekof-Mint is used in the treatment of dry cough.
USES :
Chlorpheniramine, dextromethorphan, menthol and phenylephrine which relieve dry cough. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
SIDE EFFECTS :
Nausea, Vomiting, Upset stomach, Headache, Loss of appetite, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Skin rash, Itching, Sleepiness.
