It is a combination of a cough suppressant and expectorant. It is used for the temporary relief of coughs. This medicine is also used to loosen mucus.
Ambroxol is a clinically proven systemically active mucolytic agent. When administered orally onset of action occurs after about 30 minutes.Terbutaline is used to treat wheezing and shortness of breath from lung problems (e.g., asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,bronchitis and emphysema).Guaifenesin is used to treat coughs and congestion caused by the common cold, bronchitis, and other breathing illnesses.It is essentially an organic compound that can be used as an additive in many drugs to relieve excessive coughing and sore throat.
SIDE EFFECTS :
Occasional gastrointestinal side effects may occur but these are normally mild.Nervousness, shaking (tremor), dizziness, drowsiness or headache may occur. Nausea or vomiting may occur.
