INDICATIONS :
Amiodarone HCl injection is indicated for initiation of treatment and prophylaxis of frequently recurring ventricular fibrillation and hemodynamically unstable ventricular tachycardia in patients refractory to other therapy. Benzyl Alcohol is used to prevent infections.
USES :
Amiodarone is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of life-threatening heart rhythm disorders (ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation). Amiodarone may be used alone or with other medications. Benzyl alcohol inhibits lice from closing their respiratory spiracles, allowing the vehicle to obstruct the spiracles and causing the lice to asphyxiate.

Nausea, Constipation, Slow heart rate, Taste change, Eczema, Decreased level of thyroid hormones, Vomiting, Corneal microdeposits, Photosensitivity, Decreased libido, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Hyperthyroidism, Liver transaminases increased, Jaundice, Liver failure, Extrapyramidal symptoms, Nightmares, Pulmonary toxicity, Skin pigmentation, Numbness, Irritation of ear, Application site irritation.
