USES :
Phenytoin is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
SIDE EFFECTS :
Dizziness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Vertigo, Nystagmus (involuntary eye movement), Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand), Skin rash, Softening of bones, Increased glucose level in blood.
